Darkness Falls

I don't know how it happened. If I remember correctly, I was laying in bed one night when I had the brilliant idea to make a new neighborhood and call it Darkness Falls. So, the next day, I loaded up my Sims and created the new neighborhood using the Three Lakes terrain. Three Lakes is divided into 3 sections, each higher above the other. The uppermost district is for the less fortunates. The middle district belongs to the upper class. The lowest district is the commercial district.

Darkness Falls was founded by the Black family in the dark, distant past. They are the most powerful family and own about 2/3rds of the town in addition to being on the board of the local university which is a private institution and to which they continously make sizable contributions. Located in Darkness Falls are 2 cemetaries, school district offices, a clothing store, pet store, Club Asylum, an actual asylum, a town center, a church, a mini-mart, a garage, a tattoo parlor, an opium den, a park, grocery store, bakery, an upscale hotel, a seedy hotel, and several other small businesses.

The major families are Black and Corvinus.

Do you by any chance use hacks or mods to allow sims to buy up real estate? i've been meaning to start a neighborhood where all the houses will be owned by one family and then rent it out to all the other sims that live there. i know i came across something like that, but wondered if you were using it as well and maybe help me get the whole thing to work out. i think that would be pretty nifty. :)

That's what I'd like to do. Plus it'd be better and more realistic if sims had to spend more money on their bills. I might go looking around MTS2 and see if I can find that mod again

I don't use a hack for lot ownership. But I have seen the hack you're talking about on MTS2 and I've actually been thinking about using that myself. It would be cool for my Black family to own several of the lesser houses and rent them out to other sims I have in the neighborhood.
