This is what I've been doing for *days* now. I *love* Generations and I'm really warming up to Sims 3 now. I'm still playing around trying to figure out the technicalities of snapping off decent screen shots and for the life of me I can't figure out why the hell my sims actually look *better* in CAS then they do in the game now, but I'm working it out. Meanwhile, have some pic spam. Say hi to Michael Brand. He's the oldest son in the Brand family and he lives in Banyan Bend. Dude. I *love* the shit out of this 'hood. Link below. There *will* be more Banyan Bend shots. Just not right now. The only editing I did to this pic was to size it down and sharpen it a tiny bit. The fucking scenery in this 'hood is pure lust.

Edwardian Eye Candy
Dec. 27th, 2009 07:34 pmOkay. So, I feel like his face should be a little longer and the jaw more narrow, but I'm afraid to tweak him any farther. Bad alien like things start to happen to him. It's bad enough any babies he has will more than likely be horrendously ugly.
Edward is often described in being so pretty it hurts to look at him and "one of those guys you don't want to go out with because he's prettier than you are". Here's hoping it's true.

Dec. 27th, 2009 09:30 amSo, I installed WA. Wow. New sliders?! Specifically "jowls" and "lower eye apex"? I'm pretty sure those weren't there before. Anyway, I'm working on translating my favorite sims 2 sims into Sims 3 and had a happy accident with Edward. I think I've had a breakthrough in my ability toaccept them *not* looking exactly like they do in Sims 2. Every time I show one of them to my roommate, she says "very, very close". Last night I finally said "very, very close is all that's ever going to be possible." Anyway, here's what I've got on Edward so far. I'll probably edit him a million times before I'm done with him but I'm pretty happy with the initial draft. He doesn't look exact. I know that. But I'm more interested in him being recognizable *and* attractive then him being a clone.
List of things I need for Edward:
Nail polish for the boys.
Studded double hung leather belt.
And if only I could figure out how to delete shit out of my game that seems to be hiding in places other than the usual suspect folders, it'll all be good.
And the hunt begins. :)

Dec. 24th, 2009 10:54 amSo, I decided I was never going to bother with Sims 3 and needed to get it the hell off my computer. Only to reinstall it when CAW was released. Yeah, I'm pathetic. So, I went back into Riverview and hunted down my favorite crazy gardener hermit like EA sim. Does anyone else like this girl? Her name is Meadow Carpenter-Rhodes and she's obsessed with plants. She's the only default sim I've ever actually *liked*. So, I made her over and here she is:

Inspired by Aikea's comparison pics of Jacob (god she got soooo close), I thought I'd troll for other people's opinions. This is Lucien Black ... aka Lucifer by Mousey Blue. *I* think he's pretty damn close. What do you think?

The Sims 3
May. 19th, 2009 03:52 pmI looked at it for five minutes and feel a little nauseus. The sims look very play doh and facial structure options are horribly limited. The GUI is very playskool and if there aren't some good default replacement options and a way to chage face templates and/or make the sims look more like sims 2 sims.. I will NEVER play it seriously.
